Artists of Eastern Oregon Biennial Show’s HONORED ARTIST Exhibit

The four artists who received Honored Artists awards in the 2010 Artists of Eastern Oregon Biennial Show will exhibit at the ArtsEast gallery this fall.  They include: Mona Dinger, Sandra S. Zimmer, James Dumble and Sharol Chandler.

The work of Mona Dinger and Sandra S. Zimmer will be presented at an opening reception on September 2, 2011 from 6 – 8 PM.  Light refreshments will be served.  The exhibit will run through September 30.

Mona Dinger of La Grande has recently won awards in the Open Regional Exhibition in Pendleton, Art for Everyone in Baker City and the Wallowa Valley Festival of the Arts in Joseph.  She has been an Honored Artist in the past three biennial shows. Additional accomplishments include participation in national juried shows and inclusion in the EOU Oregon East Magazine. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Regional Medical Clinic in La Grande.

Baker City resident Sandra S. Zimmer, has taught art in the public schools and Linn Benton Community College in Albany, OR. During this time, she created mostly two-dimensional pieces. In 2000, she began making clay vessels and tile and then clay and steel sculptures. She has displayed her work in numerous exhibitions throughout the state and has won awards for her sculptures.

The works of James Dumble of La Grande and Sharol Chandler of Halfway will be featured in October 7 – November 4, 2011.
